|Brief Description of Duties:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties: Manage the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Committee's Internal Review Process as mandated by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Institutional Requirements. Assist in the planning and preparation for the ACGME CLER site visit scheduled for 2018 and any other ACGME institutional accreditation surveys. Assist the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) in preparation of the Annual Institutional Review. Chair resident appeal subcommittees and advise DIO on their findings. Participate as a member in the activities of the GME Committee, GMEC Executive Sub-committee, GMEC Resident Affairs. Subcommittee, GME Program Monitoring Subcommittee. Identify training programs requiring special reviews and chairing Ad Hoc Special Review Subcommittees. Serve in the capacity of advisor/consultant to the GME Office. Assist in providing ombudsman services for residents.

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
REQUIRED: M.D. degree. Minimum of 10 years GME experience. Previous experience as program director of an ACGME-accredited residency. Familiarity with policies and procedures of the State University of New York, United University Professionals, NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation, Committee of Interns and Residents. Excellent management, interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.
