The Department of Pediatric Surgery at SUNY Downstate is seeking a full time Associate Professor/ Pediatric Surgeon.
University Hospital of Brooklyn, a 376-bed tertiary acute care hospital that is the primary teaching institution for SUNY Downstate Medical School is actively recruiting for a Fellowship trained Board Certified/Board Eligible/Foreign Equivalent, Pediatric Surgeon to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery.
A focus on colorectal disorders in childhood is preferred; Academic title associated with experience. Candidates are expected to participate in all aspects of pediatric surgery, research and residency teaching.
The hospital along with is adjacent medical school campus serves as very large and socioeconomic divers patient population. The hospital has a close affiliation with Kings County Medical Center, and three other major New York City teaching hospital.
Full complement of pediatric sub-specialties, which includes Neonatology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, and Infectious disease.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION
|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
- New York State Medical License.
- New York State DEA Certificate.
- Fellowship Trained Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Surgery.
- Previous experience as a Pediatric Surgeon in an Academic Medical Center.
