|Brief Description of Duties:
Teach in the classroom and simulation lab setting in undergraduate and graduate programs. Participate in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation. Provide student academic advisement and counseling. Participate in college and university committees. Engage in scholarly activities commensurate with academic rank. Assist the Coordinator of the Simulation Lab/Learning Resource Center (LRC) in the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of the LRC. Participate in development and evaluation of LRC policies and procedures. Act as a liaison between the College of Nursing and product vendors in the absence of the Coordinator. Assist the faculty in designing faculty programs as it relates to the LRC Assist the Coordinator in maintaining an inventory of hardware, software, supplies and other equipment. Prepare the LRC for instructional activities. Promote open communication among faculty and students to foster an environment conductive to learning.

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
REQUIRED: NYS RN license and Masterís degree in nursing. Experience in teaching and designing simulation lab activities for undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Participation in professional organizations, scholarship, research and extramural funding are desirable. PREFERRED: Doctoral degree in nursing related field. Candidates with more than one area of clinical nursing expertise. Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing student; evidence of leadership roles and successful grant-funded projects. A record of scholarship, elected/appointed office in professional and community organizations.
