|Brief Description of Duties:
Core responsibilities in this position will be to manage the Core and Advanced Clinical years of the medical student curriculum. As a clinician, the individual will also be expected to participate in the clinical teaching during the Foundation years. The individual will report directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Specific job duties include the following: Clinical years: Ensure LCME compliance. Provide oversight for the Clerkship and course directors. Chair the Clerkship Directors' Committee and Clinical Grades Committee. Develop inter-professional education projects. Manage and participate in the Clinical Skills Course for the third year students. Serve as the liaison between the Clerkship Directors and the Dean's Council and Curriculum Evaluation Committee. Adjudicate student grade appeals. Monitor student feedback and complaints. Foundation years: Facilitate Foundations Clinical Skills small groups. Grade and assess as needed in end of unit assessments and Gateways . Serve as a member of the Foundations clinical remediation team for Gateway failures and students identified through OSCE or SP sessions. The responsibilities will be as above and will continue to be in the general areas outlined above, but specific duties may be modified as per the direction of the Dean or Senior Associate Dean so as to best respond to the needs of the curriculum and the school.

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
REQUIRED: D.O. or M.D. degree from an accredited U.S. medical school. 10+ years of experience (clinical and administrative): preferred in an academic setting.
