|Brief Description of Duties:
SPECIAL GOALS: 1. CLINICAL - To develop a highly productive clinical service focused on in-patient diabetes/glycemic management and participate in clinical endocrinology at SUNY Downstate including high quality, ethical patient care and documentation. In this context, to work collaboratively with all involved parties. 2. ACADEMIC - To actively maintain and develop areas of expertise in scholarly activity, teaching and supervision of students and house-staff as well as sub-specialty Endocrinology trainees. 3. ADMINISTRATION - Appropriate administrative activities are expected to carrying out the clinical mission of this position in the context of the academic medical center. 4. RESEARCH - The development of research and scholarly activity and publishing are expected, to develop a local and national reputation.

REQUIRED: MD degree from an accredited medical school. NYS license. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified or Eligible in Endocrinology.
