Brief Description of Duties:
The physician must be fully versed in all aspects of Cardiothoracic intensive care including full competence in all associated invasive procedures as they pertain to the care of these patients. Pulmonary Artery Hypertension, Extracoporeal membrane Oxgenation (ECMO). Quality standards in Cardiac Surgery ICU, Pre-operative Medical Optimization protocols, Advanced Non Invasive and Invasive Ventilatory Management Protocols, Education Training Program, Point of Care Ultrasound Program and Integrated Pharmacy Program for ICU. Candidate is expected to perform comprehensive multi-disciplinary ICU rounds daily and to be fully in charge in the decision-making and daily care of such patients.

All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior.   Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: MD; NYS license to practice medicine. Board Certified Intensivist with previous experience in the post-operative care of Cardiothoracic patients.
