|Brief Description of Duties:
Under the general supervision of the HR Director for Regulatory Compliance and Management Services, the Personnel Associate’s (MP-5) responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: American with Disabilities Program (ADA) - Serving as the ADA coordinator for institutional programs, policies, and procedures relating to its compliance; ensuring that appropriate processes are in place to provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and inquiries from employees regarding compliance with the ADA. Independent Medical Examination Program – State Doctor - Processing requests for Independent Medical Evaluations by reviewing requests for evaluations to determine if they are warranted; ensuring the timely submission of requests to the New York State – Employee Health Services; ensuring appointments are recorded and appropriate notifications sent to employees and their supervisors. Ethics Program - Assisting the Campus Ethics Officer in providing guidance to the Campus Community in the interpretation and implementation of ethics law and evaluating allegations and referring complaints to the Campus Ethics Officer as appropriate. Exit Interview Program - conducting exit Interviews by providing employees with forms and instructions regarding the exit questionnaire/interview process as soon as it becomes known that they are separating from State service. Information obtained will be used for statistical purposes in facilitating employee retention and enhancing their work. Leave Donation Program - Coordinating SUNY-Downstate's Leave Donation Program, which allows eligible staff members to voluntarily donate a portion of their annual leave accrual balance to a "leave bank" to be used by eligible co-workers who have exhausted their own leave accrual balances.

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
REQUIRED: Bachelors’ degree with 3-5 years’ work-related experience. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong math skills. Good organizational skills.
