Brief Description of Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Physical Plant, this position is responsible for Inventory Control for Facilities Operations Maintenance repair parts and materials. Duties are as follows: Responsible for all of the departmentís storerooms and control of its inventory. Receive and distribute parts and materials. Responsible for bar coding and materials management software data base entry. Monitor materials orders, invoices, stock levels, and stock withdrawals. Catalog and maintain all part numbers (estimated to be $22,000 plus) by creating bar codes and labels for parts; and develop bin/rack system and floor plan for all mechanical storerooms. Function as the department contact for the establishment and maintenance of all department stock/storeroom facilities across campus, and supervise subordinates as assigned. Implement and coordinate inventory control procedures for all the FM&D departmentís storage locations; establish and maintain a codified list of inventory items; conduct physical inventories to compare with perpetual inventory; automate existing manual inventory systems where feasible, train new employees in inventory control procedures; and insure that the personnel utilizing state purchased materials and parts for authorized repairs complete proper paperwork.

REQUIRED: Associateís degree or three (3) years equivalent management experience in stock inventory or warehouse inventory control. PREFERRED: Candidate with construction trade or facility maintenance experience. Computer literate and able to use PC software e.g.: Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Computer Maintenance Management Software. Experience with TMA a plus.
