Brief Description of Duties:
The Physicianís Assistant will be assigned to the Neonatology Intensive Care Unit. He/she will conduct histories/admissions, discharge physical exams on term and pre-term infants and write daily progress notes and orders on ICU patients. He/she will perform lumbar punctures, venipunctures and arterial punctures and collection of blood samples, assist in exchange transfusions, prepare and administer I.V. fluids and medications, perform endotracheal intubations, metabolic screening tests: and transcutaneous blood gas monitoring. He/she will also assist in resuscitations in the delivery room, and participate in the neonatal transport program as part of the Regional Perinatal Center.

REQUIRED: B.S. degree; related experience, preferably in pediatrics. Current New York State license and registration as Physician Assistantís Assistant.
