|Additional Position Information: * Represents Location Pay for full-time appointees. Hours of work: 8:30AM to 4:30PM; Days of week: Monday - Friday; Hours per week: 37.5.|
Brief Description of Duties:
• Attend Pharmacy and Therapeutics and other clinical medical staff committees • Perform at least one research project annually • Perform trending of cost savings and impact of length of stay utilizing clinical pharmacists • Supervise all TH Clinical Senior Pharmacists • Supervise activities of both PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy residents • Coordinate activities of visiting professors from our Pharmacy College affiliates • Coordinate and supervise activities of undergraduate Pharm.D. candidates from our Pharmacy College affiliates • Provide staff development and education • Assign staff to monitor for appropriateness of drugs selected, dose, frequency, duration, and unnecessary use • Provide drug information on demand to other healthcare professionals • Assist the Director of Pharmacy in the daily operation of the Pharmacy • Assist the Director of Pharmacy with all problems pertaining to the operation of the Pharmacy, patient care, drug utilization, and personnel, materials management as appropriate • Evaluate assigned staff performance annually • Supervise all TH Senior Pharmacists and other staff as needed and act as the second in command to the Director of Pharmacy

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
REQUIRED: Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) with a completed general Pharmacy practice residency (PGY-1) and PGY-2 residency in specialty. NYS Pharmacist license and current registration. BCPS certification beneficial. PREFERRED: One (1) to two (2) years practice in a hospital setting.
