The Department of Academic Computing at SUNY Downstate is seeking a full time Biostatistician/ Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). The successful candidate will:
- Assist faculty, staff and students with advanced level research design and analysis.
- Supply documentation on the procedures employed in the analysis phase.
- Be able to provide publication quality documentation for submission to peer reviewed journals.
- Be required to teach one (1) semester of Introductory Statistics in the School of Health Professions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION

All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.

Qualifications:
- This position requires a minimum degree of Master of Science in Biostatistics, Master of Public Health or equivalent (PhD preferred).
- Good verbal and written skills are essential, as well as strong working knowledge of the major statistical package (SAS, SPSS, etc.)
- Teaching experience on a graduate level is preferred.
