Brief Description of Duties: Are you looking to take your career to new heights with a leader in healthcare? The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time CTS Anesthesia Associate / Anesthesia Tech. The successful candidate will be: - Responsible for set-up, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of anesthesia machines and patient monitoring equipment in every operating room and Endoscopy Suite. - Prepare Cell Saver and disinfecting; maintain specific records for use of salvaged blood - under direction of Director- Blood bank. - Responsible for inventory control of anesthesia supplies and drugs for O.R. and O.B. - Responsible for distribution of anesthesia supplies and drugs for Pre-Operative unit and Endoscopy Suite. - Responsible for interacting with SMIC to solve technical problems with anesthesia equipment. Liaison between department and Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNA) rotation to SGH. - Assist Anesthesia personnel with all needs for supplies and special equipment. - Assist Anesthesiologist in preparing equipment for fiber optic intubation, rapid infusion/blood warmers. - Troubleshoot any new equipment and operation of new equipment related to the anesthetic management of patients receiving organ transplants. - Perform other job related duties as required. | All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization. | |||

Qualifications: PREFERRED: - Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician. - Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering or graduate of an ASATT approved program, including a clinical component. |
