The Clinical Labs/ Blood Bank Department at SUNY Downstate is seeking a part time Clinical Laboratory Technologist II. The successful candidate will:
- Performs all aspects of Blood Bank testing, including but not limited to: ABO/Rh typing, crossmatching, antibody detection and identification with appropriate follow-ups.
- Maintains quality control of equipment and reagents.
- Manages meticulous record-keeping and utilizes follow-up skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION

All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- B.S. Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Chemical or Biological science
- NY State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

PREFERRED:
- ASCP certification and Blood Bank working experience
