The Clinical Laboratory Pathology/ Hematology & Urinalysis Department at SUNY Downstate is seeking a full time Clinical Laboratory Technologist III. The successful candidate will:
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Hematology Laboratory.
- Incumbent must have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology.
- Specific familiarization with variant equipment.
- Good knowledge of quality control, maintenance and troubleshooting on Hematology methodologies and instrumentation.

Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above description.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION

All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- New York State Laboratory Technologist License.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent college credits in Medical Technology or Biological sciences.

PREFERRED:
- ASCP certification.
- Two (2) years of experience in Hematology.
