The Department of Clinical Labs, Hematology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full time Clinical Laboratory Technologist III. The successful candidate will:
- Performs clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other test or procedures conducted by the Hematology and Chemistry Laboratories.
- Incumbent must have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry. Specific familiarization with Advia 2120, ACL Top 500 for Coagulation and Olympus, Architect instruments preferred.
- Good knowledge of quality control, maintenance and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instrumentations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION

All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college credits in Medical Technology or Biological sciences.

PREFERRED:
- ASCP certification.
- Experience in Hematology, Chemistry and Clinical Laboratory testing.
