Brief Description of Duties: Are you looking to take your career to new heights with a leader in healthcare? We are also highly-ranked by Castle Connolly Medical, a healthcare rating company for consumers, among the top 5 leading U.S. medical schools for training doctors. The Division of Sports Medicine at SUNY Downstate is seeking a full time Sports Medicine Administrator. The successful candidate will: - Assist the Division Chief with administration of division, business expansion and marketing as well as practice operation. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for: - Administration of the division including the clinical operation, research, academics, recruitment of staff, human resources, monitoring divisional productivity and finance, as well as coordinating outreach, inpatient and outpatient operations. - Administration for the Sports Medicine Outreach Program and departmental marketing such as advertising, webpage, and social media as well as expanding school and event coverage. - Responsible for developing intercollegiate programs with the College of Health Related Professions and the School of Public Health to develop collaborative programs, educational and clinical, pertaining to wellness medicine and musculoskeletal patient care. - Act on behalf of the attending Sports Medicine Division and report directly to the Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine. Qualifications: - BA/BS Degree in Sports Management, Sports Medicine or a related field. - 3 to 10 years of progressive hands-on experience in sports medicine or athletic management setting. - Demonstrated success in building business, marketing, outreach, and operations. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. |
